We took advantage of the opening in the kitchen floor last week to start the radon mitigation process. Eventually, the entire crawl space will be lined and the rock outcroppings covered so that radon cannot penetrate into the house. While the radon test showed levels below normal background , the house was not tight at the time so it makes sense to do this work as a precaution now when access is possible.
