A fox is raising her family in the retaining wall. Haven't gotten a photo of them yet but the guys have seen the youngsters and "mom" has barked her opinion of all the activity at Roy. She keeps her brood well fed with mice deposited at the entrance to the den.

Framing of the pantry. The stairs are temporary. The entrance to the pantry will actually be from the other side.



Downstairs framing is underway as well.

Jeff is keeping the job site organized and clean.

Stripping of the outside is almost complete.



The entry as it looks now. The proposed 1st flight of stairs will be in about the same place and a 2nd set will go from the 2nd to 3rd landing.

Another challenge - the lumber delivery and trash hauler trucks have taken a toll on the driveway. Several areas must be repaired before trucks can use the drive again.






The new kitchen level is taking shape.





















Transporting all of the insulaton and sheet metal to recycling was quite the chore.

The new void will be filled with the new level kitchen next week.










Kitchen floor has been completely removed.

Now we can see some of the rock outcropping that explains the many levels in the existing floorplan.
