This sweet doe wasn't afraid at all and didn't seem to mind the early morning wake-up call from the workers.

Today the huge steel beam for the entry loft space was delivered.

Getting it set into place was quite the feat!

Just getting in the door took some planning.

1st level reached.
Up the next level.

Buckets sure come in handy on this job site.
The operation involved clever planning and many pulley configurations.

The beam is being secured into place after final hoisting via pulleys.

A Schottenfenster door.

After weeks of deliberation and review of options, we finally made the decisions on the windows. Schottenfenster won the bid with their fantastic German windows. Mark of Schottenfenster helped make this difficult decision a little easier by being extremely knowledgable and willing to work with us.

The view through the east entrance.

The bathroom is framed in for the lower west bedroom (former office) and is now reachable from the bedroom rather than the hall.

The new west laundry room.

Here is a view of the new mud room as seen from the entry. The space above being framed in by Zane will house one of the many furnaces for the house. Access will be from the garage. John is rigging up a relocated temporary garage door opener. Hmm - maybe he secretly wants to be an electrician?
The new door from the large garage into the house is framed in and the walls are filled in.

A Mountain ? Lion comes to visit

An amazing sighting, our first encounter with this newest wildlife - no wonder no one has seen the marmots recently.

Roy befriends the new supervisor -or is he being eaten?
Ah ... the tree !!! Before thinning.

The theater room is taking shape.

The stairs from the landing into the theater room are almost finished.

The West Master bath and closet are framed in.
Removal of the ceiling drywall and insulation in the large garage revealed this unpleasant mess. It's a good thing this was discovered when repair is easy.

Sometimes low tech works just fine!
The former cozy "office" isn't very cozy anymore as it is being transformed into a bedroom.

More ducting is being installed.
The entry loft office space will be re-framed according to the plans - as always, this requires demo work.

It was time for the spiral staircase to come down.

Everybody wanted to see the progress at the house over the Memorial Day weekend. Here Peter leads a family tour.

Memorial Day weekend was a busy decision-making weekend for owner Peter. Landscape architect Tom Altgelt shares his vision for the landscaping at 19 Arrowleaf with Peter & Roy.
One of many beautiful trees on the property.

The new outside stairs and path allow much easier access to the rear of the house.

Possible paving block choices for the driveway at the house.
So many choices, so many decisions to make. Peter met with a number of contractors to help nail down the look of the house. Bertram of Genesis shows off the Loveland company's amazing doors and cabinetry finish choices.

The landscape crew worked hard to clear a path around the rear of the house and removed years of accumulated debris. Thanks guys!
